Objectives of the Course
Objective of this course is to introduce different computer based techniques that can be used in a manufacturing company to enhance its overall performance in a competitive global environment. More specifically, the course will address questions like:
The class will consists of lectures, discussions, case studies and video demonstrations.
- What is the role and importance of computers in a Manufacturing Enterprise?
- Why and how computers are used in manufacturing?
- What is Computer Integrated Manufacturing and its importance and applications?
- How to allocate resources optimally and provide efficient product delivery?
- How modern concepts like Artificial Intelligence(AI), simulation and modelling can be used in manufacturing?
The class will consists of lectures, discussions, case studies and video demonstrations.
